In 1986 I turned 40 years old. This was a turning point in my life where I made the decision that I would no longer be a 40 year old waiter with a masters degree. I was going to quit and it didn't matter how tough it was going to be for me. Fortunately, I was offered a job at the Corner Restaurant & Gallery which was located on the ground floor of the World Trade Center to organize monthly art exhibitions for a decent salary.
I accepted and arranged shows there for about three years. After that I was offered a assistant director position at a Soho Gallery which I maintained until opening my own gallery in 1992.
