ARTIST STATEMENT
The Vortex Series came about when in the process of pouring paint, caused the canvas to sink creating a puddle where the paint dried around the circle. I then washed out the puddle beforeit could fullly dry. leaving a ring around a hole. Therefore I called it a vortex as it remined me of swirling water down the drain.
